Not only have we moved studio and taken on a swarm of exciting new projects but our team has also grown from two to five – and that’s not counting George and Hamish!
Most of you will already know Bec, our former interior design student who joined us in 2014. As of this week, we’re thrilled to announce that Bec has now completed her Bachelor of Interior Design degree at Queensland University of Technology – yet another endeavour that builds upon her tertiary qualifications (she also has a degree in Creative Industries!). When not at her desk or meeting with our suppliers, you can spot Bec scouring for unique finds as she continues to decorate her and partner Callum’s new home.
Joining Bec, is Laura our graduate architect and resident artist who recently finished her masters in architecture at the University of Queensland. Laura began working at CSID earlier this year and over the past six months we’ve enjoyed the addition of her creative attributes to our firm both professionally and personally. Outside of her CSID hours Laura tutors architecture students at UQ and continues to strengthen her artistic practice in her home studio.
We wonder how we ever functioned without our office manager Tor – She is arguably one of Brisbane’s most organised women! As well as bringing great positivity to the office, she has a marvellous eye for detail and is our official sounding board when the office needs any advice – from design to dinner ideas, she’s definitely our go to. When not in town, Tor loves being up the coast with her husband, kids and the dogs.
A firm friend to Claire, AJ has helped shape the CSID brand from the beginning. When she’s not working on digital and e-commerce projects for clients, she works on her project Pepper Passport a content sharing platform designed for “the avid cook, discerning and curious traveller, lover and sharer of goods things both at home and while away.” She is an intermittent fixture in the studio when not travelling.
If you would like to find out more about our team, keep an eye out for next week’s diary post!
