The renovation of this large house in Brisbane’s western suburbs saw the reconfiguration of the kitchen and living spaces in order to connect them to the large verandah and garden below. Prior to the works, the house was divided into three separate living spaces connected by narrow passageways. The redesign created an open plan, modern kitchen that connects to the outdoor living space through large timber frame and glass panel sliding doors, as well as an informal living space that utilises the view of the garden with a wall of sashless windows.
