The Warwick Residence celebrates the idyllic country landscape it is surrounded by. Designed by architect Geoff Cook, the majority of rooms in this split-level home feature expansive views of green fields and blue sky. For us, the selection of internal finishes, fittings and furnishings was a fine balance of incorporating the client’s art deco brief within the walls of a modern country home while complementing the exterior environment. This was achieved with subtle art deco references throughout the house such as the moody blue and purple colour palette, herringbone timber flooring and fish scale tiles. By mixing the client’s existing pieces (such as a sofa sourced from San Fran reupholstered in aqua fabric with contrast piping) with antique furniture and new contemporary editions, each room exudes character. The result is a unique family home that feels moody and intimate yet fresh and modern.
